Cowboys place McFadden, McClain on PUP; Rivers retires

OXNARD, Calif. – The prevailing thought about how the Dallas Cowboys would replace DeMarco Murray was with a running back by committee.

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has predicted that Joseph Randle will become the team’s leading running back this season.

“He has the potential to be the kind of back that would step in there and be your number one back”, said Jones.

Murray posted 1,845 yards and 13 touchdowns, while there wasn’t another running back who came close to his production. “A lot of times they start there to get a good feel for them and then move right off”. But now that the NFL is poised to put a team, it’s likely the Cowboys will be forced to find a new home. I’m going to go through there one way or the other.

Asked by a reporter about his mind-set, Griffin said: “I’m great mentally”.

“… Throughout the entire season, including free agency and up until it started, I thought I would be a Cowboy, ” Murray said, per the Dallas Morning News“. After playing all 16 games for the Raiders last season – a first in his pro career – he hoped his injuries were in the past.

“For me, I’m going to go out there and grind and give it 110 percent every play, and when it all boils down to it, it’s the coaches’ decision to make there”.

“The Dez watch is something that wouldn’t have been welcomed by coach (Jason) Garrett, his teammates, and certainly by Jerry and myself”. It’s just an attitude of let’s just get out here. At 32-years old, most running backs have experienced a major decline in ability, and subsequently, performance.

Steven Jackson was more than happy to take to Twitter to express to the Cowboys that not only is he available, but he’d be happy to help them with rectifying this situation.

So now Garrett gets questions about building on what happened last season, and treats them the same way he did after three straight 8-8 seasons that ended without a postseason berth.

“Your final grade is your record”, Cowboys vice president Stephen Jones said.
