Cowboys’ Randy Gregory facing longer suspension, checks into rehab
Randy Gregory was viewed as a risky draft selection in 2015, which is why he fell to the Cowboys at No. 60 overall despite being a potential top-10 player.

Gregory had been issued a four-game suspension to start the season, and ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Tuesday that Gregory had another violation of the league’s substance abuse policy and would be facing a longer suspension.
It’s unclear exactly how Gregory violated the policy, but it might have been another failed drug test.
Gregory tested positive for marijuana at the 2015 NFL Scouting Combine after being projected as a first-round pick.
ESPN’s Ed Werder was the first to report of Gregory’s checking into the treatment facility.
The Eagles will face the Cowboys in Week 8 of the season, on October 30.
Gregory played in 12 games for Dallas last season, finishing the year with just 11 tackles and no sacks. He suffered a high-ankle sprain in the season opener against the New York Giants and missed the next four games.
Gregory is one of three Cowboys players now suspended for substance abuse.
The Cowboys did not make huge additions to their defensive end group despite the suspensions.

They have been reluctant to go after a veteran like Dwight Freeney, but their plans could change now if Gregory is to miss 10 games instead of four. That would also explain the treatment facility.
