Cowboys to keep Tony Romo on active roster

“I think we’ll win football games with him”.

Troy Aikman has nothing against Dak Prescott and, in fact, expects him to “play pretty well” for the Dallas Cowboys in place of the injured Tony Romo, starting Sunday against the Giants.

Sanchez has started 72 games in a six-year career, going 37-35 in those games. I don’t know if it is a reduced game plan, I don’t know if that is how we look at it. You don’t need a million people telling you how to throw a slant route.

“But you still have to go and play each and every week and be prepared for every situation”. Maybe this is the guy they’re going to be watching the next 10 years.

With another fractured bone in his back, Tony is going to miss approximately four to eight weeks of the season.

While the exact details of what Romo and Bryant did to prepare for this season are unknown, it’s clear from their performance at the training camp and in practice sessions that their workouts were effective. We don’t have a situation on the 53, this isn’t an active roster day-game situation. Coach Jason Garrett said the team was taking at least a couple of more days to decide.

The injured reserve route assured Romo would not play in a game until November 6.

As for how it all relates to Sanchez, most of the possibilities are premature for a guy who has barely opened the playbook in Dallas.

“I just think he’s getting healthier”, said head coach Jason Garrett. “He’ll pick it up”. You start looking around at their offense and there’s not a lot of weaknesses, in my opinion. “He’s got to learn quickly, and that’s where his focus is”.

Of those seven remaining players, just two are now in the league on an active roster (cornerback Prince Amukamara and defensive end Robert Ayers).

Following two seasons in Philadelphia, the Broncos acquired Sanchez after Peyton Manning retired and Brock Osweiler went to Houston in free agency. “You just continue to work hard and attack it”.

It’s foolish to completely rely on what we saw in preseason to judge what Prescott will do in the regular season.

The quarterback position of the Dallas Cowboys is a tradition-rich position that has Hall of Famers, Super Bowl champions, and players who have set team records for those of the future to chase after.

“Everything starts with stopping the run, and we’re confident”, Harrison said.

“And the quarterback has been playing very well …”

The Cowboys are also able to look forward with optimism because of what they have seen from Prescott in the preseason. He’s a 30-year-old running back who took a lot of hits and has suffered a lot of injuries.

“He’s very driven, driven to do what it takes to get back”, Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said of Romo.

Early in camp, Moore went down with a broken right ankle that ultimately ended his season, lifting Prescott to the backup role.
