Cowboys worth $4.2B, most valuable team in NFL
At 14th, the Ravens are near middle-of-the-pack when it comes to total value, as the franchise ranks just ahead of their division-rival Pittsburgh Steelers ($2.25 billion), and just behind the Green Bay Packers ($2.35 billion).

The Kansas City Chiefs rank as the 26th most valuable franchise in the National Football League at an estimated worth of $1.875 billion, according to Forbes magazine’s annual rankings of National Football League franchise values. A year ago, the magazine valued the team at $1.525 billion.
The franchise is now worth an estimated billion, the fourth highest mark in the NFL. Owner and general manager Jerry Jones was pleased with the team’s decision.
Ozanian said business acumen counts more than bricks and mortar, but stadiums do count for a lot. Lambeau Field, counting the 2003 renovation and additional projects over the last five years, is at least an $800 million stadium and is among the largest in the league with an 80,000 capacity.
Also worth noting, while the Redskins have fallen in Forbes’ rankings, they have increased in valuation, up $100 million from 2015.
If a franchise moved or is about to move into a new stadium (or, as Forbes calls it, portability), those team values rose exponentially.
Forbes’ team values are “enterprise values (equity plus net debt) based on the multiples of revenue of historical transactions, as well as offers to buy and invest in teams now on the table”.
