Cowell blasts X Factor hopeful with ‘stinking attitude’
New faces Rita Ora and Nick Grimshaw join old-timers Simon Cowell and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini in the panel.

Cheryl’s Adam Lippes tuxedo dress may cost over £1k, but that’s nothing compared to a lifetime of dry cleaning bills.
“I don’t hate the competition. I don’t see where this fits in today’s market”, said Cowell.
Back at the audition, Radio 1 DJ Grimshaw said: “He wants to be on Big Brother”.
After his performance judge and singer Rita Ora said: “All jokes aside, you carried the song out well”. Either way, I think he does belong here.
But the young’un was determined to have the last word: “Tell Simon he can stick his show!” Simon Cowell was nearly dumb-struck as one of the managers of boy band D Tour came to their defence as they faced a lambasting from the judges. “Lauren, you were the person I’m referring to”.
“I thought he’d bring a bit more”, Nick says.
Returning unfazed from previous X Factor failure, the cheeky and cheerful Joseph McCaul had actually improved by miles.
In the first episode, Filipino sisters 4th Power readily impressed when they rendered the Jessie J hit, Bang Bang, which merited a standing ovation from all four celebrity judges.
Generosity on the panel’s part also benefited contestants such as 45-year-old Anton Stephans and Ankush Khana, who will take the Six Chair Challenge despite forgetting the lyrics to their songs.
Other acts through include: husband and wife team Nige and Kay, married couple Chris Kennedy and Gabriel Cabrera, Irishman Joseph McCaul, who made it through to bootcamp in 2011, and Menn On Point – two Ghanaians living in London who got everyone dancing to their original composition called Turn It Up.

Meanwhile Tipperary bar man Anton Banaghan who won the hearts of women everywhere with his rendition of George Ezra’s Budapest on Saturday night was also out to impress in Boot Camp.
