Craig Joubert has been appointed assistant referee for Scotland’s final RBS 6 Nations match against Ireland in Dublin on March 19.
Joubert’s first global appointment since World Rugby openly criticised a late error made by the South African in Australia’s narrow quarter-final win over Scotland will bring him back to Twickenham for the visit of Wales.
Scotland will meet Craig Joubert again when they face Ireland in the Six Nations.
World Cup Final referee Nigel Owens will blow the whistle in the potential title decider in Paris for the last game of the tournament between France and England.
Joubert had penalised a Scot for being offside, but video replay showed the ball hit an Australian first, making the Scot onside.
Craig Joubert leaves the field at full-time in Scotland’s RWC quarterfinal loss to the Wallabies.
The game’s governing body, World Rugby, said Joubert was wrong to award the 78th-minute penalty.
Joubert was unable to use the Television Match Official at the time, a rule which is being reviewed.

However Joubert will return to the “scene” when he takes charge of England’s home tie against Wales a week earlier, on March 12.
