Crash Bandicoot Revival: Toy Company Retracts Comments
At the New York Toy Fair 2016, NECA Toys Director Randy Falk said something that ended up making rounds online.

Randy Falk said: “Finally, we’ve been able to get back in with Sony”.
What do our readers think Falk is referring to?
There have always been rumors about Naughty Dog thinking about bringing back the Crash Bandicoot game. At the 4:10 mark of the interview, Falk says: “Looking at some of their other titles, they’re looking at bringing Crash Bandicoot back, which is really cool”. They include Nathan Drake from Uncharted, Kratos from God of War, and Sackboy from LittleBigPlanet.
Hopefully we’ll hear something more definitive soon.
From Sony exec’s wearing shirts with him on, to PlayStation twitter accounts tweeting about him, these are always telltale signs that something is happening.
Beyond Crash Bandicoot, Faulk talks up the rest of his work with Sony for the coming months. Someone has misunderstood a comment he made.
In a statement issued to GameSpot, the NECA representative said: “It’s not the case”.

Prior to that, SCEA boss Shawn Layden appeared in a Crash t-shirt during the PlayStation Experience show in December 2015, but announcements about a Crash revival were not made during that show. Crash Bandicoot released in 1996, giving Sony the “staple franchise” it needed. Of course, it is entirely possible that Sony could be working with Activision on the new game. It was then followed by three more “Crash Bandicoot” games, as well as numerous spin offs including racing games and mobile games.
