Dallas Cowboys spokesman Rich Dalrymple said the bus had no players, only staff members on board.
No one on the bus sustained major injuries, but four people in the van were killed.
It is unclear how many people were on the bus at the time of the accident, but it has been confirmed that a DallasCowboys.com columnist, a team mascot and a team videographer were among the passengers, ESPN reports.
Authorities were investigating the cause of the collision, which occurred on highway 93 about 30 miles north of Kingman. The Arizona Department of Public Safety did not confirm a number of fatalities to News 8.
No Dallas Cowboys players were present. The bus was headed from Phoenix to Las Vegas as part of a preseason tour. The event was subsequently canceled.
Investigators said the bus was heading towards Las Vegas for a fan meet and greet, according to our affiliate in Las Vegas.
The bus was en route to Las Vegas for an afternoon fan event where organizers say the team’s mascot was expected to appear. Members of the organization typically take a bus two weeks before camp starts and make stops along the way.
