Journal Star reported Sunday afternoon that Sadler and Sam Foltz, the Nebraska football team’s senior punter, both died in an automobile crash Saturday night in Merton, Wis.
The 24-year-old Sadler, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, was driving.
The 22-year-old punter was attending a punter’s camp in Wisconsin.
Kohl, a former kicker at Waukesha Catholic Memorial High School and Iowa State University, founded the kicking camp, which is in its 16th year. He scheduled to return home on Monday.
Foltz and Sadler died in a single-car crash, according to a Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department statement.
Foltz was preparing to enter his senior season at Nebraska, where he had started the last three seasons and was named first-team All-Big Ten in 2015. Foltz was also a first-team All-Big Ten selection. Sadler had a humorous back and forth that week with “FakeBoPelini” and when he pinned a punt deep inside Huskers territory, he pet the cat Pelini holds in the Twitter picture for the “FakeBoPelini” account.
“Last night, we lost one of the best young men who I have ever had the honor to coach and who has ever worn the Nebraska uniform”, Nebraska coach Mike Riley said in a statement.
His humility, hard work and strong faith couldn’t help but remind numerous late Husker quarterback who died in a small plane crash 20 years before.
“All of the university of Nebraska is heartbroken”, Green told the Omaha World-Herald. This isn’t supposed to happen to young people who have so much to live for.
Sadler, a four-year starter and four-time academic All-American at Michigan State, was known for his wit. He drew something of a cult following during his playing days because of his sense of humor and wit. I’m just sitting here like, ‘I don’t really think this is happening.’ But it has. Her answer? Disk golf. He enjoyed having conversations with satirical Twitter accounts, in which Sadler’s self-awareness and amusing takes on his life as a specialist became popular.

He helped get his own mock Heisman Trophy candidacy rolling one season by pushing the hashtag #sadler4heisman. Nebraska and Michigan State have confirmed the deaths of the players. One person after another made it clear he was no ordinary football player.
