These DLC packs come with a new race and a new Challenge Campaign.

For use in the Grand Campaign and Multiplayer, but also add a new Challenge Campaign to the game. Players who own the game will get their hands on new units, Heroes, Legendary Lords, and a new playable Race. Also included are new lords, a unique unit, and an elite unit of renown. Thankfully, some of it will be free – including new units, heroes, lords, and another playable race.
The developers say they have “a pretty good idea of what [they’re] aiming to do with new characters and races, but do you have a favourite?”
Race Packs will either add a new race to the game, or add full unit rosters, heroes, lords, and playable legendary lords to non-playable existing races in the main game. We knew that the Chaos Warriors race pack was a pre-order bonus, but that was about it. Until now.
The Creative Assembly is also working on campaign packs, with special narration-driven quests that are centered on some of the biggest events from the lore of the Games Workshop universe but also with access to an extra race, units and more.
As with other recent Total War games, players will receive a batch of free content for Total War: Warhammer.
2 new playable Legendary Lords with their own narrative quest chains, campaign bonuses, and quest items. Creative Assembly does note that the new race may either be a completely new race, or an existing non-playable race from the core game.
What that new race will be isn’t said. What would you like to see next? Providing a turn-based strategy real-time tactics game that has been developed by Creative Assembly and will be published by Sega.
The paid DLC packs launching for Total War: Warhammer will include content that will expand the game further with new playable Legendary Lords, new Lords serving as generals, new units, new races and more.
