While the movie is primarily about young boxer Adonis, the clip also shows a very alone Rocky saying, “Everything I got has moved on, and I’m here”. More importantly, they brought in Fruitvale Station director Ryan Coogler to direct the film. The newest trailer builds on Rocky’s role in helping Adonis develop as both a fighter and a human being as he prepares to follow his father’s footsteps into the ring.
The latest trailer for Rocky spinoff Creed focuses on the continued tragedy of Rocky Balboa as he readies the next generation of boxer in Adonis Creed. The second official “Creed” trailer was posted to the Warner Bros. In Philadelphia, the site of his fathers match with Rocky, Adonis tracks down the boxing icon to gain the training his unmastered ferocity so desperately needs.
Rocky was put through the ringer in the original movie as well as its five sequels, and the retired champion appears to be having some sort of health issue in the upcoming film.
