Public safety officials say crews broke a hole through a restaurant wall to reach him, and lowered another medic on a rope to ensure the rescue efforts didn’t injure the man even more.

Since the incident, Pittsburgh Public Safety has been asked on Twitter whether the man would be getting a second date.

A University of Pittsburgh student was stuck in a space about 16 to 18 inches wide, according to WTAE in Pittsburgh.

Police say the man met a woman at a nearby establishment and took her up to a building rooftop.

“We were trying to go from inside of the business establishment and that has proved to be a bit hard because we don’t know exactly where he is when we’re coming in from the inside”, she said. One of the paramedics did rappel down three stories to render assistance and also provide us some landmarks as to where he was.

The man suffered a broken ankle in the accident and was stretchered away from the scene, KTLA adds.
