The fire intensity increased around 1:15 p.m. on the south side of the fire, but the blaze is still within the secondary containment lines, according to Cal Fire. No injuries have been reported in connection with the fire.

Mandatory evacuations are in effect after the Wragg Fire flared up early Tuesday afternoon.

Residents of the Gates Canyon Road and the area west of Pleasants Valley Road should be prepared to evacuate at a moment’s notice.

The same goes for Lake Solano campground that remained closed due to fire equipment access and Lagoon Valley Park in Vacaville would likely remain closed through the weekend, as it served as the firefighters’ camp, city and CalFire officials said.

Residents of 136 homes were ordered to leave, said Christine Castillo of the Solano County Sheriff’s Office.

Firefighters thought they had it mostly contained, but some brush caught fire outside the perimeter, fueled by high temperatures, low humidity and gusty winds.

Cal Fire has reopened its call center at 707-967-4209.

A Red Cross evacuation center that was set up at the Ulatis Community Center in Vacaville on Tuesday afternoon was still open on Wednesday.

California has seen more wildfires this year, but less acreage has been burned thanks to favorable weather and more firefighters who can quickly be dispatched to corral flames, fire officials say.

A road closure is in place at Antlers Road and Basspond Road.

A structure fire, which was reported in the 9000 block of Rocky Creek Road in Lower Lake, caused multiple spot fires in the area. A water supply wellhead, other minor structures and a walnut orchard were also damaged, and two vehicles were destroyed.
