The New Orleans Fire Department says divers have found the wreckage of a small plane that crashed into the huge lake that forms New Orleans’ northern shore, but two men remain missing.

He said retrieval will begin early Monday morning.

The person who had been rescued from the crashed plane was a woman who had been sent to Ochsner Hospital after she was rescued from the water by Good Samaritan boaters who had been on a private yacht. Police are still looking for the other passengers, two men. They called in a request for help from the Coast Guard. Her condition remains unknown. She was able to speak to investigators but it is believed that she was suffering from shock.

A private boat rescued a woman.

A Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew and a 29-foot Response Boat-Small crew from Coast Guard Station New Orleans have been doing search patterns in the area since the initial report of the crash.
