CBS crime series “Criminal Minds” is making some changes to its cast in Season 12 in the aftermath of Shemar Moore’s departure. The long-running procedural has already cast “CSI: Miami” actor Adam Rodriguez as a Fugitive Task Force Agent in the Federal Bureau of Investigation named Luke Alvez and added returning cast member Paget Brewster as Interpol Agent Emily Prentiss in a recurring role.

The only reason we ever wondered whether or not this move would happen is because of the actress’ own busy schedule, which includes gigs on “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” for The CW, “The Talk” for CBS, a podcast, and some other ventures.
To recap, the final episodes of season 11 had the authorities arresting Special Agent Aaron “Hotch” Hotchner on the basis of conspiracy suspicions after 13 convicts managed to escape prison. Roderiguez will play a member of the FBI’s Fugitive Task Force which is a part of the Behavioral Analysis Unit.
Messer likewise hinted via EW that the BAU would play a risky game of hide and seek with these escaped convicts. Alvez caught most of the killers over the summer, Entertainment Weekly reports. As per Messer, one of these would be Peter Lewis a.k.a. Mr.
Mr. Scratch was introduced in Season 10. Scratch. He is our baddie for the year. He uses mind-altering drugs to coerce victims to do his bidding.
This is something that we were long hoping to see happen with “Criminal Minds”, and it’s now finally official: Aisha Tyler is a series regular for the upcoming 12th season of the show.
