Cristiano Ronaldo back training for early Real Madrid return

The Irish UFC fighter broke some big football news when he revealed his mate Cristiano Ronaldo has signed a new contract with Real Madrid.

Real Madrid head coach Zinedine Zidane says the club will remain patient with Cristiano Ronaldo as he continues his recovery from injury. “He messaged me on Instagram a while back because I was wearing his [CR7] underwear during the weigh-in for the [Diego] Brandao fight”.

Could Cristiano Ronaldo shock Conor McGregor in a fight – or would he get his head slapped off? I have much work to do yet.

Ronaldo, 31, ended last season with a third Champions League title and a first major worldwide honour as he helped Portugal win the European Championship and is favourite to win a fourth Ballon d’Or (previously called the World Player of the Year).

McGregor admitted that he has fostered a good friendship with Ronaldo after bonding over a mutual love of designer underwear, but that wouldn’t stop him knocking the Real Madrid forward’s block off in an instant.

Both athletes are at the top of their respective sports, and McGregor will be aiming to avenge his previous defeat to Diaz at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena on Saturday.
