Critics blast Matt Lauer during NBC forum

“You know what Donald, this is real reality, this is real people, these are real decisions that have to be made for our country”.

The lines of questioning during Donald Trump’s part of the night highlighted the stark gaps in his military and foreign policy.

Clinton’s argument that Trump is ill-prepared to be commander in chief has been bolstered by a flood of Republican national security experts who are backing the Democratic nominee instead of their own party’s pick.

Lauer kicked off a series of forums and debates between the United States’ two presidential nominees with a national security forum on Wednesday night, and the overwhelming consensus is Lauer should never again get such an opportunity.

Mr. Trump also renewed his praise of Russian President Vladimir Putin and his disdain for President Barack Obama, saying that the Russian enjoyed an 82 percent approval rating.

The query perfectly frames the sentiment many feel about Hillary Clinton’s handling of sensitive information during her tenure as Secretary of State.

The last question was from NBC’s Andrea Mitchell, who brought up a recent article by a former government official who said that IS had effectively endorsed Trump.

“I know that’s part of the coverage and I know that it may be hard to feel that you know exactly how to respond to some of his behavior”, he said. Heavily criticized for his handling of the “commander-in-chief forum”.

Trump responded Thursday during an event in Cleveland.

“Some emails suggest donors to the [Clinton Foundation] may have received special access to the State Department, but there’s no evidence the State Department ever did any favors for them”, Meyers said. “She tried to make up for her awful performance last night so she went on the tarmac and told more lies”.

The Washington Post fact-checks the forum, and has plenty of Pinocchios to award both Clinton and Trump.

It was the second time Clinton brought up Trump’s “admiration” for the Russian president, which she called “not just unpatriotic and insulting… it is scary” in the opening statement.

Trump made another controversial comment when he said one reason for the sexual-assault problem in the military is that women are allowed to serve alongside men in many jobs.

It’s going to take more than a flat campaign denial to explain what was in Mrs. Clinton’s ear during the military forum last night.

He said in his Cleveland remarks that the withdrawal of USA troops from Iraq had left a power void filled by Islamic State militants.
