The Lower Matecumbe resident called the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office. A 5-foot black tip shark was recently spotted taking a swim in a condo complex’s pool.
ISLAMORADA, Fla. (AP) – A crocodile apparently decided a morning dip in a Florida Keys swimming pool was just the thing. Eager to get the unwanted visitor out of his pool, the man called on the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office for help.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officers responded to the residence near mile marker 77.

The sheriff’s office provided a photo of the crocodile, which looked pretty big while lounging in the pool. It lives mainly in brackish waters of South Florida and the Keys. The sheriff’s office estimated the crocodile’s size to be about 8 feet long.
