Treasury Dept Plans New Iran Sanctions Following Ballistic Missile Tests
While the rockets weren’t fired in the direction of any ships, Raines said Iran’s actions were “highly provocative”. Whether the missile dispute will have an adverse effect on the nuclear deal remains unclear.

“We know down the stretch it’s going to be tight”, Crosby said.

Liverpool loses to Watford, Swansea and West Ham draw
Liverpool have conceded at least a goal in six of their last seven EPL games and the goalpost was still open for more . “I was fighting for the ball but I know he’s going to make a run”.

“Anytime I get to come back and play in this rink, it’s a little nostalgic”, said Zatkoff, who finished with 33 saves and improved his professional record to 2-0 in the same place he played for Miami, Ohio, in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association and Midget Majors. He’s 0-1-3 with a 3.77 goals-against average in his last five games.

Crosby gave Pittsburgh a 3-2 lead 7:48 into the third period with a wrist shot, while on his knees, from the inside edge of the right circle.

Malkin quickly made it a two-goal lead, scoring his 18th of the season at 8:22.

Penguins goaltender and Detroit native Jeff Zatkoff was looking to snap out of his recent five-game funk and pick up his first win since November 6 Thursday at Joe Louis Arena. Playing four on four paid off as the Wings put out Tatar & Nyquist in front of Smith & Marchenko only to have the young foursome set up a net-front scramble that Smith forced through Zatkoff on a rebound from a well-placed Marchenko shot.

Look for Petr Mrazek to make his second-straight start in goal for the Red Wings.

Mrazek made the initial save on Patric Hornqvist’s shot but the puck landed in the crease and Mrazek’s right skate pushed it into the net 46 seconds into the period. Then the Penguins got a second power play and needed just 30 seconds for Letang to convert, beating Mrazek stick side with a clean shot from the right circle.

“When he is in our lineup and he plays the way that he did tonight, it shows the kind of impact he can have on our team”, Penguins coach Mike Sullivan said.

Ryan O’Reilly scored his 15th goal of the season and Linus Ullmark made 31 saves for Buffalo.

While the Penguins scored on two of three power-play chances, the Wings failed on all three of their attempts.

“When we’re up 2-0 we need, I don’t want to say a killer instinct, but we really need to start taking the game over”, Red Wings coach Jeff Blashill said.

“We’ve given up too many goals when we’re on the penalty kill”.

Mrazek opened up the second period with is 12th save, but it was a rough 20 minutes overall for him and Detroit’s special teams. The Wings are now riding a disappointing three-game losing streak, only the team’s second since the month of October. When you’re entering the zone and the defensemen aren’t particularly close behind you on the entrance, it allows the defenders to play differently, staying in front of the player and denying rush shots.

Jimmy Howard struggled again in net in that 4-1 defeat, allowing four goals on 14 shots before he was pulled in the second period.
