Cruz and Trump exchange new attack ads
I encourage Cruz and Trump to join forces and drag the rest of the candidates into their camp by offering them cabinet positions – right now. “The caucus process is very fast and easy, and we are here to help if you have any questions”.

A CNN/ORC poll released Thursday found Trump leading his main opponent, Texas Sen. Which is, you get Bob Dole, who represents the old establishment … essentially choosing Trump over Cruz.
Trump, too, has started to suggest that he’d look for ways to work with Republican leaders if he wins the nomination.
Both men will campaign in Iowa on Saturday, the same day that the influential Des Moines Register newspaper will announce its endorsements for the caucuses.
Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush are all seeking to beat expectations in Iowa, then be a top finisher in New Hampshire. “We’ve got to get things done folks, OK?”
At the awards ceremony, held in conjunction with a gun show, Trump reiterated his support for the Second Amendment – a topic that has been a constant refrain at his rallies and often draws loud applause.
The poll also found that 10% of Republican primary voters say Cruz being born outside the US – he was born in Canada to an American mother, making him a natural-born USA citizen – makes them less likely to vote for him.
A January 20 story in The Hill profiled several Republicans who have thrown their weight behind Trump, including Richard Edwards, the president an electrical contracting firm in Pennsylvania who, until now, has considered himself a “lifelong establishment Republican”.
Trump unloaded on Cruz, releasing his first negative TV ad: a hit on Cruz, painting him as pro-amnesty. (He has endorsed Ohio Gov. John Kasich.) “You know, to be honest with you, I’d probably pick Trump over Cruz”, he told the Atlantic.
The statement from Trump’s campain also highlighted Palin’s “fiscally modest” history and pro-life stance.
“I think it’s more the media looking for a story, at this point”, she tells Quartz. “If she – for instance, gets indicted – if she has to go on trial, they’re going to have Biden or somebody else come in, we’ll see what happens”.

With Cruz as the nominee, “state and local races that take place in ideologically moderate electorates could be a bloodbath”, said Josh Holmes, McConnell’s former chief of staff and a Republican strategist.
