Cruz camp responds to Rubio Photoshop flap, brushes off criticism

Two men who challenged the candidates’ eligibility, based on claims that neither man was a “natural-born citizen”, are contemplating possible next legal steps, following the state Election Commission’s decision Friday to put Rubio and Cruz on the May primary ballot. Instead he thought people should turn to volunteerism and charity like “the old days of America”.

But even as organizers repeatedly offered to accommodate Rubio’s tardiness, the campaign demurred.

The Cruz campaign called Rubio’s cancellation a “final admission” that Rubio is not trying to court conservatives to his campaign. The second one Thursday will include Donald Trump, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, and Ohio Gov. John Kasich.

Rubio is passing his test with flying colors. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) and Obama were photoshopped in, with the headline “The Rubio-Obama Trade Pact”. He’s getting great crowds and energy. Rubio said he had never been to a rave despite his love of electronic dance music, Cruz admitted he constantly played iPhone games like Candy Crush and Plants vs. Zombies, much to the chagrin of his wife, while Carson said he favored baroque classical music in surgery and then billiards at home to relax afterwards.

Really, is this a news story or a campaign press release? The image appears on TheRealRubioRecord.com, which purports to provide his record on immigration, the Environmental Protection Agency, sugar subsidies, and the Trans-Pacific Partnership, NBC News explained. If the polls are accurate, the voters certainly aren’t buying it, the crowd of cheering South Carolinians mentioned in the Politico story notwithstanding. And who can blame him? But Paul was a colorless glob of phlegm who lacked the schoolyard-bully instincts of Christie, so his punches didn’t land. Rubio isn’t aligned with conservative on a number of issues. There are a couple of possibilities. Democratic candidates Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders have vowed to protect and expand Obama’s deportation relief.

“Of course Marco Rubio is throwing a fit because he’s ashamed of his liberal record of standing with Chuck Schumer and Barack Obama to try to pass amnesty”, Cruz spokesman Rick Tyler fired back, Time reported. Rubio is fresh-faced! He’s relatable!

This covering makes it easy to ignore the fact that Rubio’s bloodthirsty torture fantasies, blanket opposition to abortion under any circumstances, and giant tax giveaways to rich people are all unpopular with young people. “And let’s not let Rubio’s dirty campaign tactics get a free pass here – Rubio is having his supporters crash opponent events and tape literature inside women’s bathroom stalls, and his campaign is running intentionally misleading statewide robocalls”.
