Cruz campaign vetting Fiorina as a possible VP pick
“And guess what, the only guy who can beat Donald Trump, who has beaten Donald Trump is Ted Cruz”. She waved off weighing in, saying it was “inside baseball” and a constitutional issue.

Cruz is seriously considering Fiorina, a top surrogate for his campaign, as his vice presidential pick, Chad Sweet, national campaign chairman for Cruz, told CNN host Jake Tapper Monday, furthering speculation that the Texas senator may announce a running mate ahead of this summer’s Republican convention.
Carly Fiorina gestures to Republican presidential candidate, Sen.
Fiorina, a former Hewlett-Packard CEO and Republican presidential candidate, endorsed Cruz soon after she suspended her own campaign earlier this year.
Sarah Isgur Flores, an aide to Fiorina, also confirmed that Fiorina was being vetted for a possible pick on the Cruz ticket. Cruz himself preached prudence.
Campaign manager Jeff Roe said on Twitter that Cruz’s team is going through the “normal processes” for picking a running mate. “We’ve begun examining both a long list and now a shorter list that has been culled”, Cruz told reporters in Greenwood, Ind. “And that naturally includes a vetting process”.
Cruz himself confirmed the vetting process for potential running mates is underway, dismissing the notion that the undertaking is premature.
