Cruz Campaign Yields Oregon To Kasich
“It is big news today that John Kasich has chose to pull out of IN to give us a head to head contest with Donald Trump”, said Cruz, who is IN second place but has little chance of overtaking Trump’s delegate lead IN the remaining contests. He said he had simply agreed not to spend “resources” in Indiana. He also slammed the two politicians and said that they have been in the system for many years but they’re still way behind him. Ted Cruz and Ohio Gov. John Kasich, can not win enough delegates in the campaign’s home stretch to clinch the nomination.

But Trump says he’s actually OK with the decision because it demonstrates his rivals’ weakness.
You are reading news and information on LongIsland.com, Long Island’s Most Popular Website, Since 1996. Where they collude? It’s collusion.
“If you collude in business … they put you in jail. They ought to vote for me”, Kasich said in a Philadelphia diner. “It shows how pathetic they are”, he said.
Reporters started asking Kasich various questions, to which the governor started to stutter with obvious frustration.
Money is also pouring into IN as Donald Trump and his team have spent almost $800,000 on television and radio ads.
“Governor Kasich, who has only won 1 state out of 41, in other words, he is 1 for 41 and he is not even doing as well as other candidates who could have stubbornly stayed in the race like him but chose not to do so, ” Trump said. Kasich asked again, “Are you desperate?”
Under their new arrangement, Kasich won’t compete for votes in IN, allowing Cruz to take Trump on head to head in the state’s May 3 primary.
“For Oregon, we’re not going to make a big difference in things”.
“It’s obvious that you take IN for example, that Cruz is doing better there”. “I.I.I.I’m sorry. I.I.I.Ya know, I’m not gonna answer more than one!”.
The move isn’t sitting well with all Republican supporters.
“I’ve never told them who to vote for”, he said.
We would expect independent third-party groups to do the same and honor the commitments made by the Cruz and Kasich campaigns. Cruz, who never came to CT for any public appearances, will avoid campaigning in the upcoming states of OR and New Mexico.
He also says he didn’t expect Mr Trump’s response to be anything less. “I think it is not going to be clear at all”. “But that has been Donald’s pattern”.
Minutes later, the Kasich campaign pledged to give Mr Cruz “a clear path in Indiana”.
“Look, this is a matter of resources”.

These 54 delegates will go to the convention as free agents, free to support the candidate of their choice. To secure the nomination a Democratic presidential candidates need 2,383 delegates. “I mean, what are you kidding me?”, he said. “I think it will be interesting to see how it plays out in practice”.
