Cruz draws boos after failing to endorse Trump

The disorder provided fresh reminders of the fissures that remain.

As his most formidable opponent, Cruz was savaged by Trump during the primary as “Lyin’ Ted”.

“None of us could have predicted the records he would break, the stadiums he would fill, the movement he would start”, Eric Trump said.

Christie said Cruz’s performance indicated he was more concerned with his own political future than winning the White House this cycle.

Those quickly turned to boos and chants of “We want Trump”, however, when he continued. GOP leaders say that while the United States has always been an exceptional nation, eight years of bad policies and poor leadership under President Barack Obama have weakened the nation overseas and limited opportunities at home.

Pence is also framing the November presidential race as crucial to defining the makeup of the Supreme Court for the next 40 years.

After the roll call, Clinton tweeted a fundraising appeal: “Donald Trump just became the Republican nominee”.

The Republican National Convention’s third day brought a new wave of excitement, topping the lackluster energy seen during the first half of the party’s gathering. But Roe suggested conservatives might take some time to watch Trump, and judge him by his actions.

Speakers scheduled Wednesday night include Gingrich, the former House speaker who was considered a finalist for the vice presidential slot; Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, another former Trump rival; and Florida Gov. Rick Scott.

“After a long and spirited primary, the time for fighting each other is over”, Rubio said. “He needed to toughen up like every other Republican loser of any nomination battle in the last 100 years since Abraham Lincoln and just suck it up, be a man and back the nominee that he was beaten by, fair and square”.

She said Tuesday evening that five people have been arrested in total, including one person on an outstanding warrant, one person for trying to steal a state trooper’s gas mask and three people who allegedly climbed flag poles at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on Tuesday morning. McIver released a statement Wednesday saying that she had inadvertently included some phrases from Mrs. Obama’s speech into Mrs. Trump’s address and offered her resignation.

Only one said she was enthusiastic about Trump.

“Now, the always-calculating Cruz is plotting his strategy for the fall campaign and beyond. It’s a pretty high profile speech”, she said.

For two days, the Trump campaign tried to brush aside any talk of plagiarism, calling the criticism absurd. “Than all of the people who voted in the elections?” he said.

Interrupted by chants of “Trump, Trump, Trump”, Cruz paused and said with a smile, “I appreciate the enthusiasm of the NY delegation”.

Kasich has refused to endorse Trump and the governor has refused to go to the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland where the convention was taking place, although he has made public appearances in the area. “And when Donald Trump does his talking, he doesn’t tiptoe around the thousand new rules of political correctness”.
