Cruz Edges Past Trump in Latest Iowa Poll
This could be a serious shift in the race for the Republican presidential nomination. Rubio held onto his position in the double-digits of Iowa Republicans but only with 10 percent.

The poll was taken between last Sunday and Wednesday, in the thick of Trump’s bombshell call an end to Muslim immigration to the United States.
A new Des Moines Register/Bloomberg poll shows that 48% of the likely participants in the state’s February 1 Democratic caucuses now plan to vote for Clinton.
On “Fox News Sunday” this weekend, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said his opponent Sen. “And I’ll point out my approach to Trump has been my same approach to every Republican candidate, which is that I am not interested in personal insults and mudslinging”, Cruz said during a December 10 appearance on MSNBC’s Morning Joe. “People are looking for who is prepared to be a commander in chief”. We have to figure out the answer.
Then he defined what he called “the problem with Ted”: You can’t go to the Senate “call people liars and not be able to cajole and get along with people”.
“He will never get anything done, and that’s the issue with Ted”, Trump said.
In an audiotape of his comments at the fundraiser, obtained by the Times, Cruz tells supporters the terror attacks had made it more hard for Trump to become the GOP nominee. Despite the fact that he is often criticized and on the front news for something that he said, the businessman declared that he gets along with everybody and this includes the Democrats, liberals, Republicans and conservatives. “And, by the way – and, again, I do like Ted Cruz, but not a lot of evangelicals come out of Cuba, in all fairness”.
“Who am I comfortable having their finger on the button?” “Now that’s a question of strength, but it’s also a question of judgment”.
“I don’t think he’s got the right temperament”.
Cruz’ rise has fueled a back-and-forth with Trump, though the two have until now largely avoided scrapping.
Looks like @tedcruz is getting ready to attack. ‘I mean, I would say anything and he said, “I agree, I agree”‘. “The Establishment’s only hope: Trump & me in a cage match”.
Cruz had a lighthearted response to the “maniac” label on Twitter later on Sunday, posting a link to a video clip from the 1983 film “Flashdance” showing star Jennifer Beals dancing energetically as the hit song “Maniac” plays on the soundtrack.
Cruz, a freshman senator from Texas, has inched closer to threatening Trump’s front-runner status in the latest NBC/Wall Street Journal poll on the GOP race, taking 22% to Trump’s 27%. Of course, it’s very much a “takes one to know one” situation, as Trump personifies maniacal politicking.

Mr Rubio, who has seen a lift in his own poll standings in recent weeks, criticised his Senate colleague on defence spending, saying Mr Cruz talked about carpet-bombing Islamic State while voting to cut the military budget. Last week the New York Times, predicted that Sen.
