Cruz fires back at Boehner, says GOP race going to ‘contested convention’

“I get along with nearly everyone, but I have never worked with a more miserable son of a [expletive] in my life”. “Here’s John Boehner, the former speaker of the House, who had to work with Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid and Barack Obama, and he says that Ted Cruz was the worst he ever had to work with?”

TEXAS SENATOR TED CRUZ, to reporters. It’s believed their animosity stems from Cruz’s attempts to shutdown the government over Obamacare funding in 2013. Cruz is universally despised by his colleagues in the Senate, they would rather pledge allegiance to Lucifer than endorse his presidential bid. Ted Cruz fired back at former House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) Thursday night, telling Fox News host Megyn Kelly that Boehner, along with businessman Donald Trump and Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton, “are all part of the same problem” in Washington.

“When John Boehner calls me ‘Lucifer, ‘ he’s not directing that at me, he’s directing that at you”.

In contrast to his remarks on Cruz, Boehner speaks more favorably of Donald Trump.

John Boehner’s response was, “I have no interest in talking to you”. Boehner and Kasich served together in the House for a decade.

Boehner voted for Kasich in the OH primary, and endorsed his bid for president, though he has also thrown House Speaker Paul Ryan’s name into the 2016 mix.

“Lucifer in the flesh”, Boehner said of Cruz, who’s now challenging Republican front-runner Donald Trump for the GOP presidential nomination.

This isn’t the first time Boehner’s taken aim at Cruz.

Boehner also compared Cruz to the devil last month in a talk before financial industry lobbyists and executives in Florida.

The Texas senator said Boehner’s comments “reveal everything that is wrong and corrupt in Washington”.

He says he and Trump are “texting buddies” and he would vote for Trump, but not Cruz.

On how to pronounce his name “You can call me ‘boner, ‘ ‘beaner, ‘ ‘jackass.’ Happy to answer to nearly anything”.

Anchor Lester Holt opened the segment, characterizing Boehner’s unhinged rhetoric as simply “an unguarded moment” of “what he really thinks of the man trying to stop Donald Trump”. He said he had played golf with the Manhattan billionaire, whom Boehner considers a “texting” buddy.
