Cruz immigration plan would suspend work visa program
By booking luck, Mr. Rubio and Mr. Cruz were the initial two speakers on Friday at the Sunshine Summit presidential discussion in Orlando, Florida.

With the exception of Bush, Kasich and Rubio on a few issues, five of the eight candidates for president on the Fox Business Channel’s main stage were to the right of former Sen. Cruz is searching here for a way to accentuate the differences, knowing that he’s in trouble if Trump voters decide that Rubio’s right about their similarities. “In fact, when the Senate bill was proposed, he proposed giving them work permits”. On Thursday, speaking in SC, Rubio noted that two years ago, Cruz “supported a massive expansion of the green cards”.
Ted Cruz and the mainstream media are on the same mission: They want you to believe that Marco Rubio is moderate.
For Cruz, the Rubio broadside is a wide departure from the first seven months of his campaign, when he assiduously avoided commenting directly on his competitors. “So my amendment, which would have had special scrutiny for people, foreigners who want to come to our country, was defeated because Rubio was more intent on working with Chuck Schumer than he was in working with conservatives”, said Paul.
Shortly before releasing the document, Cruz zeroed in on Republican presidential rival Rubio, who is third in most national polls and narrowly ahead of Cruz.
And sparring with Rubio over immigration late last week, he unveiled a plan that includes stepped up deportations and an end to automatic citizenship for children born on American soil to parents here illegally.
In his plan, Cruz pledges to “shut down President Obama’s unconstitutional amnesty on day one” of his presidency. “I watched Ted Cruz”.
The Courageous Conservatives PAC, a super Pac supporting Cruz, is airing a radio and Internet ad in Iowa this week that blasts Rubio for backing “amnesty”. Trump’s website complains that Rubio “has a bill to triple H-1Bs”.
In his plan, Cruz announced that he would “prohibit illegal immigrants from receiving financial benefits”. This transfer of American taxpayer dollars to illegal immigrants entices further illegal entry. This is both illegal and unacceptable. America is a land of opportunity, but should not provide the opportunity to be subsidized by the American taxpayer.
The Texas Republican said he would require all legal immigrants and their sponsors to demonstrate “compelling evidence that they have the education and professional tools to provide for themselves and their families”.
Now here is where what Mr. Viguerie said in 2013 intersects with what Marco Rubio is trying to pull off today. His plan also seeks to increase the level of deportations. They’re Southern states where a lot of immigrants live and they’re low-tax states where the economy is growing.
The sharp-edged battle over immigration is part of a struggle for the soul of the GOP.
While the issue of immigration and border security has simmered throughout the GOP campaign, Ohio Gov. John Kasich helped push it into the forefront during Tuesday’s debate when he took issue with Trump’s long-standing proposal to round up and deport the undocumented immigrants from the U.S.
Initially, critics of the H-1B program targeted Sen.
Cruz also said he would suspend the H-1B program for 180 days while he audited the system for abuses, abandoning his prior support for a 500% increase in the high-tech program. But if he’s willing to make other American workers and industries compete with foreign producers, why would he maintain the US sugar program? Though he boasted the plan was “detailed”, it didn’t say what Cruz would do with the millions of people already in the country illegally. The Fourteenth Amendment protects birthright citizenship for all; if we’re going to change it, we’ll need an amendment, which will be hard to the point of impossible. Most nations on earth do not do so, and neither should we.
Back in 2013 our fellow conservative, and long-time Rubio watcher, Florida political commentator Javier Manjarres of the Shark Tank and Hispolitica observed that, “What most people don’t know about Rubio is that he has always supported a pathway to citizenship”.
According to 2008 census data analyzed by the Pew Research Center, one anchor baby is delivered in the United States every 93 seconds. Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina), said recently, referring to a story from Carson’s memoir, “Gifted Hands”, that recounted a youthful violent streak.

“We caught them, fortunately, but I’m asking the question: ‘who in the hell is in charge of scrutinizing these people?'” Paul told the audience.
