Cruz Makes VP Pick Despite Position in Race
Fiorina, 61, dropped her own White House bid in February after a lackluster seventh-place finish in New Hampshire’s first-in-the-nation primary. “If Cruz wins IN, then we still have a battle and uncertainty on our hands”. The choice has been criticized by some for being a Hail Mary – the Washington Post referred to it as “an apparent act of desperation” – but compared to many other vice presidential picks, this one was actually not that unusual. On Tuesday, Trump, who also is scheduled to be in IN today, convincingly won all five primary contests.

Carly Fiorina is explaining the rules of the Republican Party to rival Donald Trump as she looks to assert why the race for the Republican nomination could go to a contested convention. She was defeated in the general election by incumbent Democrat Barbara Boxer. John McCain chose Sarah Palin based on the assumption that there were large numbers of disaffected Democratic female voters angered by Hillary Clinton being denied her party’s nomination.
“Jobs, freedom, security – they feel out of reach because corrupt politicians have sold us out to the insiders”, Fiorina says in the ad.
By choosing Carly early Cruz has made the GOP Convention a three army battle in which Trump’s populists, Cruz’s movement conservatives and the dark forces of the Republican establishment all vie against each other for dominance and the Republican nomination for president and at this point no one can predict which way the battle will turn.

“It’s clear the media elites are ready to anoint Donald Trump the Republican nominee before this race is even over”, she said in an email to supporters of her own unsuccessful presidential campaign. “He has fought tirelessly to change the system”, she said. Well, for one thing, if we are to win…
Trump now has 987 of the 1,237 delegates needed to win the nomination. In 1976, Ronald Reagan announced Sen. He said his campaign still aims to win the nomination but will also seek to assemble as many delegates as possible to influence the party’s platform and message.

She rose briefly in the polls on the back of strong debate performances during her solo bid for the White House, but struggled to build on her support in a crowded field. The move to announce a vice-presidential running mate prior to securing the nomination is rare. Fiorina reached out to Hershman to talk about the election and the state of IN in general. Similarly, Clinton won convincingly in four of the five contests, scoring 56 percent in Pennsylvania and 63 percent in Maryland the two biggest contests of the night.
