Cruz Mulling a Possible Re-Entry Into the Presidential Race

It was more than friendly – at one point, Beck’s co-host Pat Gray tried to urge Cruz back into the presidential race.

Cruz said that he isn’t “holding his breath” about getting back in the race, but that he is watching the race closely and considering his options. “My assumption is that will not happen”, Cruz said.

“The reason we suspended the race last week is after Indiana’s loss, I didn’t see a viable path to victory”, he continued. “If that changes”, he said, “we will certainly respond accordingly”. I know we’ve had our differences in the past, so if you won’t do it for me, do it for Carly.

I guess he misses the campaign trail. Cruz on Tuesday blamed media executives and their primary coverage for the rise of Trump.

In an email sent to pro-Cruz convention delegates on Sunday, Cuccinelli wrote that “it is imperative that we fill the Rules and Platform Committees with strong conservative voices”. In order to win the nomination, a candidate must have 1,237. Those days are behind him, but a go-getter like Ted Cruz can’t help but display that trademark Canadian ability to look on the bright side: if he manages to win the Nebraska primary, he could totally jump back in this thing, you guys. In 2004, former Vermont governor Howard Dean ended his campaign in mid-February, but watched his home state deliver him a 22-point victory over eventual nominee John Kerry.

Oklahoma’s Republican Party received a similar letter from the Cruz campaign, state GOP chair Pam Pollard told CNN.

“This is a choice every voter is going to have to make and I would note it’s not a choice we as the voters have to make today”, he said.
