Cruz picks up all delegates in Colorado; Sanders wins in Wyoming
On Friday and Saturday, Michigan Republicans elected the state’s national delegates during the state’s GOP convention in Lansing.

Most of these delegates are selected at state and congressional district conventions, where Cruz and his supporters have done a good job rounding up supporters.
The Texas senator is well-positioned to pad his total Saturday, when 13 more delegates were to be chosen at the party’s state convention.
The result shows how Cruz’s superior organization has helped him as he tries to catch up with front-runner Donald Trump.
Furthermore, at a congressional district convention on Thursday, the Trump campaign handed out slate cards that featured two candidates who were not listed on the ballot.
“Trump making the decision not to even show up, not to bother to get down into the weeds of Colorado’s delegate selection process, I think overwhelmingly voters will say …”
In an appearance before Jewish Republicans in Las Vegas later that day, Cruz warned of a “bloodbath” for the GOP if Trump were the nominee and said control of Congress and the balance of the Supreme Court could be at risk. Neither Trump nor Kasich attended Colorado’s convention.
The Trump campaign is blaming the errors on a previous list released by the state party, in which they claim the numbers were correct.
“This is an example of Donald Trump managing, and the type of leadership he will bring to the presidency in November”, Manafort told CNN.
Michigan Republicans are meeting in Lansing this weekend to select delegates to the party’s presidential-nominating convention this summer in Cleveland.
It was a week of rebuilding for Trump, who lost the Wisconsin primary to Cruz on Tuesday and earlier apologized for gaffes regarding punishment for women who obtain abortions and retweeting an unflattering picture of Cruz’s wife, Heidi, as well as defending campaign manager Corey Lewandowski’s manhandling of a female reporter. The last time there was even a possibility of an open convention was in 1976, but deals were made between delegates so former President Gerald Ford was awarded the nomination before an open convention occurred, Mayer said. “It doesn’t seem like a real fair system”, said George Rosel, 60, an engineer and Trump supporter who came to the convention from the Denver suburb of Highlands Ranch.
According to Politico, top Trump advisers are fighting for power as the campaign struggles to shift from a rally and media-centered populist appeal, to the insider political scramble to secure as many delegates as possible. That’s true, but there will also be hundreds of unpledged delegates who get to vote. Since Rubio has suspended his campaign rather than formally withdrawing, his eight delegates are also bound to him on the first vote.
The gaffe was exposed just as Republicans were walking onto the arena floor to take seats and prepare to cast ballots.

“There’s been no disasters or big problems”, House said. And 18 don’t bind their delegates at all or let them make their own choice once the candidate they were tied to either withdraws from the race or releases them to vote for someone else.
