Cruz Pledges to Support Trump Unless He Actually Shoots Someone
As the polls indicated, Donald Trump won Florida but lost OH to John Kasich on Tuesday.

He didn’t mean the failure of his presidential campaign, which the Florida senator just suspended after failing to beat Donald Trump in his home state.
Ohio Gov. John Kasich defeated Trump in his home state.
Republican U.S. presidential candidate Marco Rubio announces the suspension of his presidential campaign during a rally in Miami, Florida, March 15, 2016.
Even with Kasich’s win, Cruz said the governor couldn’t get a majority of the delegates.
For Kasich, Ohio was his first primary win, worth 66 delegates in that winner-take-all state.
“I want to congratulate Donald Trump on his victory, a big victory in Florida”, said Rubio, who also took aim Trump’s campaign, which he suggested is divisive.
By the end of what was dubbed “Super Tuesday 2.0” featuring contests in Florida, North Carolina, Ohio, Missouri and IL – both Clinton and Trump had further solidified their front-runner status following recent campaign trail hiccups.
“We have to bring our party together”. Sanders is unlikely to overtake Clinton in the delegate count, but his victory last week in MI underscored the unease that many party voters have about her candidacy. A month and half later, during which primaries and caucuses have been completed in almost three dozen States and territories, the race to the White House has shrunk to four candidates on the Republican side and two on the Democratic side. Trump has claimed IL and North Carolina. Trump said, “I like people who weren’t captured”.
“This was a great evening”, Trump, the former Atlantic City casino magnate, said at a victory rally in Palm Beach, Fla.
Asked by Fox News what the governor would do if he loses, a spokesman said: “He’s going to win OH, so I’m not going to entertain your question”. Cruz has 370, Rubio has 163, and Kasich has 63.
Alluding to Trump, President Barack Obama said Tuesday he was dismayed by “vulgar and divisive rhetoric” directed at women and minorities as well as the violence that has occurred in the campaign. Interestingly, though, Cruz shows up much better in the markets, coming within a point of Rubio.

If Trump walks into the convention in July with the most delegates, but falls short of the 1,237 threshold, delegates will start a sequence of floor votes. Those numbers reflect extraordinary interest in both races, but also a challenge for candidates like Kasich and Sanders who’ve enjoyed late surges-many of the votes they need were cast before they hit the peak of their popularity.
