“I like what he’s saying, and I’d love for him to have a role in the administration, but I want Ted to be president”, she said. “And that’s what the primary process is all about”, Cruz said. Ted Cruz of Texas are going after each other with only two weeks left before the Iowa caucuses (video below). Cruz responded to the tweets by telling reporters that it showed Trump wasn’t the “stable and steady” type of person a commander-in-chief should be.
During a 45-minute speech, Trump left Cruz unscathed until the very end, when he mentioned the loans that Cruz received as a Senate candidate in 2012 but did not properly report to election authorities.
Trump’s attacks seem to have especially backfired with Millennials, 68% said they just thought Trump was trying to attack Cruz. He also FORGOT to file his Goldman Sachs Million $ loan papers.
‘They’re not Iowa values and they’re not New Hampshire values, ‘ Cruz offered. Cruz aides believe the bank loans story will not hurt him.
The GOP riled up many Trump supporters last week, following President Barack Obama’s State of the Union address to Congress. Traditionally used to refute the president’s talking points, the GOP response urged Americans not to listen to “the siren call of the angriest voices”, as South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley put it. Cruz had given a backhanded apology not for his comments, but to New Yorkers who were harmed by liberal politicians. They expressed support for one candidate or the other based largely on stylistic differences.
Peggie White, 63, from Columbia, and Carolyn Caughman, 65, from Elgin, both taking a break on a balcony overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, said they like Trump because he’s not afraid to speak his mind on issues like excessive government, opposition to Syrian refugees, and a temporary ban on Muslims entering the United States.
“It is amusing seeing the media elite in NY and D.C. run around with their hair on fire wondering what on Earth are NY values?”
Mr. Trump was at 32 percent in the Opinion Savvy/Augusta Chronicle poll, followed by Mr. Cruz, Texas Republican, at 18 percent and Mr. Bush at 13 percent.
He pointed to a 1999 interview where Trump, explaining his political views, said, “I lived in New York City, in Manhattan all my life, OK?”
“You have people running up the stairs as that’s happening”, Trump went on, “and Ted Cruz criticizing NY and the people of NY is a disgrace”.
I think it’s interesting that Trump … basically said at [a] family values forum he’s never asked for forgiveness, but yet he is Christian.

However, Limbaugh went on to say that it is just par for the course for the two leading candidates to be attacking one another.
