165-a-11-(Senator Marco Rubio, R-Fla., GOP presidential candidate, at town hall meeting)-“war on women”-Florida Senator and GOP presidential candidate Marco Rubio says conservatives now live in a hostile media culture”.
Texas Senator Ted Cruz boasted a big fundraising haul in the last three months of 2015: almost $20 million.
Tuesday morning, the political-action committee supporting Jeb Bush released an extraordinarily nasty – and inaccurate – ad bashing Marco Rubio for missing key intelligence briefings on the Paris and San Bernardino terrorist attacks. “After 7 years of Barack Obama, this is no time for patience”, said Rubio.
“I am not interested in getting into personal attacks and innuendo”, he said Tuesday at a news conference in Cisco.
First and foremost on his list would be to repeal Obamacare, expand school choice, rebuild the country’s military and enact reforms at the Veterans Administration, strike ISIS with greater force, as well as put an end to the sanctuary city system that protects illegal immigrants who are wanted by federal authorities, among many other things. In the article, he is quoted as saying he has heard from Santorum’s and Mike Huckabee’s camps that they expect supporters to swing from their campaigns to support Rubio.
“I will acknowledge that when I’m in the Senate dining room I’ve sometimes wondered if I need a food taster”, he said at a campaign event in Iowa in October.
The stop also comes after a new attack ad against Rubio accused him of skipping out on important congressional meetings regarding the nation’s security and public safety. “See, this is the problem, and this is what I want you to think about when you go to caucus on February 1”. “I grew up paycheck to paycheck”. He renewed his call to repeal the Affordable Care Act and vowed to defeat the Islamic State and terrorism. He also said he would back a convention of the states to amend the U.S. Constitution, to pass amendments dealing with term limits and a balanced budget. “Ours is a hybrid of the two built to win”, campaign manager Jeff Roe wrote in the memo, which, on the off-chance reporters didn’t get the hint of its tone and content, was titled, “We’re positioned to win”.
Now, though, Trump says he’s ready to spend million a week on ads in early primary states.
While supporters say Rubio just needs to stay in the top cluster in the first few states, some see his approach as risky.
Interspersed with thank-yous to the campaign’s volunteers and encouragements to open their checkbooks a little wider, the campaign made some candid assessments of the state of the race.

Rubio has steadily climbed in the GOP primary polls, reaching second place in early December behind frontrunner Donald Trump. Chris Christie of New Jersey and John Kasich of Ohio.
