Cruz refuses to specifically endorse Trump in RNC speech
The full force of Clinton’s supporters outside the campaign sprung to present her as the human shield to a Trump presidency.

America is not one of the most taxed countries in the world.
Cruz reaffirmed that he would not vote for Hillary Clinton, and it was unclear whether the Texans confronted him were more than a vocal minority.
Donald Trump in a new interview said he didn’t let the speechwriter who wrote his wife’s scrutinized Republican National Convention speech resign because of how the staffer handled her error.
But his recasting himself as lord protector and guardian for Americans concerned about global terrorism, illegal immigration and the shooting deaths of police officers could resonate long after voters have forgotten about his wife’s plagiarism scandal, Texas Sen.
Trump did not touch upon the incident in his convention speech.
“It’s an irrelevancy. The room last night was 5,000 to 1”, Gingrich said. We may be missing a couple of people. Maybe there weren’t the stories of diaper changes and camping trips that other kids could tell about their dads, but even their accounts of working with Trump in his company were more insightful than we’d previously heard.
But drawing attention to Pence was less important to Trump than making conservative holdouts feel listened to and unifying his convention in the belief that his former chief rival is a rude, selfish ingrate.
Democrats will formally nominate Clinton at their convention next week in Philadelphia.
Trump lawyer Michael Cohen said on CNN that “the only way to describe it is political suicide”.
Tuesday’s prime-time programming began with a long pause as party officials tried to settle a dispute over the Alaska delegation’s vote for GOP nominee.
As the crowd chanted: “Lock her up” for her handling of U. foreign policy, Trump waved them off and said: “Let’s defeat her in November”.
“The execution was poor”.
“He 100 percent believes in equality of gender, so, yes, absolutely-socially, politically, and economically, “said of her father earlier this year”.
Former Speaker Newt Gingrich, who was a finalist to serve as Trump’s running mate, told POLITICO that “Cruz showed the same lack of interpersonal sensitivity to the Republican Party that he’s shown to the U.S. Senate”.
Pressed why he would not keep his campaign pledge to party to support the nominee, Cruz said all bets were off when Trump attacked his family. “He is my nominee, and I’m gonna give him 110 percent”.
“It’s a personalist campaign”, said Wayne Johnson, a Sacramento-based GOP strategist.
Trump’s attacks on Cruz during the primary season were as harsh and repellent as intraparty criticism gets.
Suffolk County Republican Chairman John Jay LaValle said Trump planned to take advantage of the opportunity to speak to the largest audience of his life by reaching out to those not present at the convention hall.
“And that pledge was not a blanket commitment that if you go and slander and attack Heidi, I’m going to nonetheless come like a servile puppy dog and say thank you very much for maligning my wife and my father”, he added. “Republicans, Democrats and independents who help build North Atlantic Treaty Organisation into the most successful military alliance in history would all come to the same conclusion: Donald Trump is temperamentally unfit and fundamentally ill-prepared to be our commander in chief”.
Cruz delegate Eric Burlison, a Missouri House member from Springfield, said Cruz may have done more harm than good for his own political career. “He’s just a power-hungry guy, and he’s looking to hold the most powerful position on the planet”.
He says no matter what people think of him as a Republican, “If you’re a great believer in the Constitution, you have no choice”.
“Other than a small group of people who have suffered massive and embarrassing losses, the party is VERY united”, Trump said.

Still, she’s not quite angry enough to vote for Clinton.
