Cruz, Sanders victorious in Kansas presidential caucuses

In the days leading up to Saturday the Clinton campaign made a strong push to support her. Bill Clinton made an appearance for Hillary on Friday morning in Baton Rouge, and Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards announced yesterday that he had voted for the former secretary of state.

But she said she’ll support Sanders if he emerges as the party’s nominee. Even for an evangelical who has little in common with him, casting a vote for Trump is a way to express disapproval of the way that Washington works and what the federal government does. He said then, as he has since, “I haven’t even started on her yet”, foreshadowing the kind of attacks on Clinton that he’s unleashed successfully on fellow Republican contenders.

These states have diverse Democratic electorates, which bodes well for Clinton.

As hundreds of Democrats caucused together in larger counties across Nebraska, rural western Nebraska counties struggle to make it to double digits. On Democrats side Nebraska and Kansas were held by Bernie Sanders and Louisiana by Hillary Clinton.

Most Sanders voters chided Clinton backers for being too tied to the status quo and too timid in their ambitions to change the country.

Beyond Vermont, Sanders’ wins came in Minnesota, Colorado and Oklahoma, where working-class white voters play a bigger role in Democratic contests.

“It’s clear tonight that the stakes in this election have never been higher”, Clinton said during a jubilant rally in Florida, a state that holds its primary March 15.

Clinton would enjoy a more united Democratic Party, although not all would be enthusiastic about her candidacy.

Moments after the announcement, the Sanders campaign issued a statement thanking the state. The changing economy? worldwide trade? Those voters may be more receptive to Sanders’ core message of economic inequality.

For months Clinton tried to connect with younger voters through famous supporters such as singer Katy Perry and actor Lena Dunham. “I think we are going to do well in Maine tomorrow”.

Hillary Clinton has taken Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia. “But like many other states, we are closing very very fast”. I think it is probably times.

The candidates will get a chance to present themselves to MI voters Sunday night, for the Democratic debate in Flint. Ted Cruz put a small dent into Donald Trump’s lead for the GOP’s nomination. Ultimately, Trump won 46 delegates in the Louisiana Primary.

“I think what it represents is Republicans coalescing, saying it would be a disaster for Donald Trump to be our nominee and we’re going to stand behind the strongest conservative in the race”, he said. “Sanders to ever catch up”, Mook wrote in a memo to reporters this week.

“Every state has super delegates”, Professor Peter Hanson of the University of Denver said.

Including superdelegates, Clinton now has at least 1,121 delegates.

“If it came down to him versus a democrat in the general election, I would have a really hard decision”, said Ted Cruz voter Patrick Long.
