Cruz seen as having leg up in Virginia delegate battle

The Republican Party runs a third-party candidate, which all but guarantees that none of the three candidates gets the 270 electoral votes needed to win.

Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan (R) has been under pressure to make a statement about his party’s presidential primary. “Ask me after the convention who I’ll vote for”.

But these ads are also providing Democrats with attacks that could be recycled verbatim for the general election and slapped with the tagline, “Hillary Clinton approves this message”.

The poll also finds some doubts about the front-runners.

The war of words between USA presidential contenders Donald Trump and Ted Cruz turned nasty after Cruz calling the party front-runner “a sniveling coward” for threatening his wife on Twitter. The margin of error is +/- 3.4 percentage points.

“Donald Trump beat Sen”. Not one of the five are viewed favorably by a majority of voters. Sanders edges her with men (48 percent to 39 percent) and among very liberal voters (57 percent to 41 percent). Another 12 percent say he is “not so responsible” and 22 percent say he is “not at all responsible”. In that race, both Democrats and independents may vote.

While the overall findings suggest few Republicans want to replace their party’s delegate leader with someone else, those views vary widely based on whether a voter prefers Trump or not. In the last 10 days, our campaign has been endorsed by Jeb Bush, by Mitt Romney, by [Utah Sen.] Mike Lee, and [conservative radio host] Mark Levin. Ted Cruz, R-Texas hugs his wife Heidi before speaking at a campaign stop, Friday, March 25, 2016, in Oshkosh, Wis. And Democrats say they’re closely monitoring the Republican hit-pieces.

On the Democratic side, Chelsea Clinton appeared in Wisconsin this week to campaign for her mother, former Senator and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Most voters aged 45 and older, 63 percent, prefer Clinton, while a majority of younger voters, 63 percent, back Sanders.

Amid this slate of unpopular candidates, the parties themselves aren’t faring well.

“Likewise, I have nothing to do with the National Enquirer and unlike Ted Cruz I do not surround myself with political hacks and henchman and then pretend total innocence”, he said. Among Democratic voters surveyed, 65 percent said they were satisfied with their choices of candidates, while just 46 percent of Republicans say they were satisfied with the field.
