Cruz slams Trump for supporting gay troops

Pressed by the host about whether he’d file a lawsuit, because he’d have standing an opposing candidate, Trump said, “I’d like to talk to Ted about that, let’s see how he’d feel about that”. Ted Cruz knows this, and that might give him pause in selecting Trump.

“Put down your computer keyboard for a few hours, think before you tweet, and collect yourself”, Levin wrote.

At a campaign stop in Council Bluffs, Rubio said Trump’s mantra, “We’re gonna make America great”, shouldn’t be enough to win voters’ support.

Loan issues: Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz, already facing scrutiny for not disclosing a Goldman Sachs loan he used for his 2012 Senate campaign, also failed to disclose a second loan, from Citibank, for the same race, according to a letter he sent Thursday to federal election officials.

The once-cordial relationship between the two candidates has rapidly soured in recent weeks, as Cruz has overtaken the GOP front-runner in Iowa and is closing in on Trump’s lead in New Hampshire. I think he came across badly.

“Given the fact that for much of his life, Donald was financially supporting those politicians – writing checks to Hillary Clinton, writing checks to Andrew Cuomo – it is a fair inference that he supports their policies”, Cruz said.

“How do you control … these big powerful banks, you’re a senator and yet you owe them money with a personal guarantee”, Trump told a crowd of about 500 people. You tell me who stops him and when do they do it?

Since Senator Cruz had such a tough time articulating exactly what NY values are, PIX11 News went to all five boroughs to find out.

“There are many, many wonderful, wonderful working men and women in the state of New York, but everyone understands that the values in New York City are socially liberal, are pro-abortion, are pro-gay marriage, focus around money and the media”, Cruz said.

Trump, meanwhile, continued to push his theme that Cruz is in the back pocket of donors, even though Trump was booed for making the charge Saturday at a Tea Party gathering in SC. So far, there is no response from Trump, Clinton, or Cuomo to Cruz’s latest comments.

“Believe me, if I could say ‘liberal Jews, ‘ I would”, Killam said.

Trump, who published a torrent of tweets criticizing Cruz Saturday morning, also knocked the senator for comments he made disparaging “New York values”.

Cruz referred repeatedly to an interview Trump did with NBC News’ Tim Russert 17 years ago, in which he defines his “New York values” as distinct from “Iowa values”.

The New York Daily News responded with a front page showing an image of the Statue of Liberty raising its middle finger with the headline “Drop dead, Ted”. It has always been a winning strategy in more conservative parts of the country, namely the Midwest and the South.

The governor says Cruz’s remarks could wind up hurting him in the polls because they were offensive to more than just New Yorkers. But one New Yorker, Wall Street hedge fund mogul Robert Mercer, contributed $11 million last April to a super political action committee that supports Cruz.
