Crystal Maze Is Making A Spectacular Return To Television
Telly’s current trend of bringing back old shows looks set to continue – as Channel 4 is reportedly after David Tennant to host a revival of The Crystal Maze.

Anyone who grew up in the ’90s will remember The Crystal Maze.
However, this news comes with a fairly freakish twist – because an bad lot of people seem to think Doctor Who star David Tennant is the favourite to fill Richard O’Brien’s shoes as host.
In what might be the most exciting news we’ve heard in ages, The Sun reports that the classic Channel 4 show is being revived for a one-off edition as part of Stand Up To Cancer in October.
At its height, The Crystal Maze was the most popular programme on Channel 4, regularly drawing in between four and six million viewers.
It was previously hosted by creator Richard O’Brien until 1993 before he was replaced by Ed Tudor-Pole.
A full series will follow if it is a ratings success.
Even two decades after it last aired, there are very few shows that have been as magical and action-packed as The Crystal Maze.
The other big rumour is that David Tennant is the man tipped to present the charity special, presumably with an eye to making him the permanent host should a full-length series arrive in its stead.

The gameshow involved teams of competitors racing around a huge set, visiting time and space-themed zones to take part in logic puzzles and challenges to win crystals.
