Crystal Palace agree €38m fee with Marseille for Michy Batshuayi
Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi was one of the top-five scorers in Ligue 1 past year, but it looks like he’s going to be taking his talents to London in 2016 for a big deal with Crystal Palace.

Crystal Palace have had a shock €38million bid accepted by Marseille for highly-rated striker Michy Batshuayi.
West Ham submitted an offer worth up to a potential €40m at the start of May and remain hopeful of signing him, while Juventus have also made a bid in excess of €30m for the player who scored 17 goals in Ligue 1 last season.
It would smash the Eagles’ transfer record from a year ago when they splashed out up to £12m for Yohan Cabaye.
And the Belgium global has brought that form to Euro 2016, scoring in his first appearance of the tournament against Hungary on Sunday.
Reports coming out of France claim that Crystal Palace owner Steve Parish has attempted to beat the host of Premier League clubs chasing the Belgian and, in a shock move, offered the French club €38m with bonuses and a percentage for resale – the offer was accepted “within minutes”, according to L’Equipe.
Palace chairman Steve Parish was in Nice on Monday night to watch England and has also held talks over a deal for Marseille goalkeeper Steve Mandanda.

It is also thought that Palace have triggered Andros Townsend’s £10.5m release clause at Pardew’s recently-relegated former club Newcastle United, with the ex-Spurs winger having recaptured some form since his January move to Tyneside.
