Crystal Palace complete Christian Benteke transfer
Crystal Palace have agreed a £32 million deal to sign Christian Benteke from Liverpool based on reports and Eagles manager Alan Pardew also confirmed that the Belgian striker will undergo his medical soon.

Benteke, who joined Liverpool only last season, reportedly cost Palace around £27m.
The 25-year-old is Palace’s fourth signing of the summer after Andros Townsend, James Tomkins and Steve Mandanda.
Benteke has scored 51 Premier League goals over the past four seasons, and will now be tasked with leading the Palace line this year.
“I’ve met the manager a few times before I signed and that’s why I wanted to come here”, Benteke told Crystal Palace’s official website.
“His style of play – we’re the top crossing team in the Premier League bar one – he’s going to enjoy that I think, but we’re talking about a player that’s not ours yet”.
“It is great to work with him and I think he had seen that we want to engineer improvement at every corner”.
Benteke has struggled to show the form that convinced Liverpool to sign him for some £32 million from Villa previous year.
However, as Pardew struggles to lure Christian Benteke away from Liverpool, it has now been suggested that he could launch another bid for Remy, who he knows well from his time at Newcastle.
“We’ve lost two this week in Yannick Bolasie and also Mile Jedinak to Aston Villa”.
“That’s something that didn’t always happen at Newcastle, unfortunately, so I’m pleased the board have been fearless with this move”.
“Our fans got a little taste last week that there’s more to come from him, particularly if the goal opens up to him he’s as good a wide player at hitting the target with power that I have worked with”. I thank them that we got it this far, although it’s not complete.
The player moved to Liverpool from Aston Villa in 2015.
