Palace boss Alan Pardew, whose side have lost five games in a row, said: “Puncheon’s going to miss a long period as well”.

Alan Pardew addresses Crystal Palace’s injury concerns amidst a series of poor results.

“We need to get off the points total we’re stuck on, that will help mentally”. I would have liked to have a bit more panache on the ball, a bit more composure at times, but we haven’t won in the league for a while and I think that showed.

“I have some disappointing news – McArthur and Puncheon are out for a long period”, he said.

“The level of performance was good, we didn’t do a lot wrong in the game”. He’s a bit different to a Palace player. Win, lose or draw. “Even a draw would be a good result at the moment”, Pardew told reporters.

Crystal Palace are bottom of the Europe-wide form table, after claiming just one point from their past six Premier League matches.

“Swansea have picked up a bit of form so it will be harder for us, (as will) the game with Watford, they are crucial games for us because I think when I get to Tottenham I will have a much healthier squad”.

The Premier League side are without five first-team players for the upcoming clash with Swansea.

In addition, James McArthur is sidelined after going off with an ankle ligament injury against Bournemouth in midweek, while Jason Puncheon will also be missing with a hamstring injury.
