Crystal Palace’s Pape Souare ‘airlifted to hospital after motorway crash’
Crystal Palace have confirmed defender Pape Souare is in hospital recovering from injuries sustained in a auto accident on Sunday.

Souare, 26, is said to have been flown to hospital, but his injuries are not said to be life-threatening.
Images were circulating on Twitter of what is purported to be Souare’s vehicle after the accident.
Pape Souare joined Crystal Palace from Lille in 2015.
The injuries of the man believed to be Souare were confirmed to not be life-threatening, with the driver of the other auto not requiring hospital treatment.
He was reportedly airlifted to hospital as part of the recovery efforts, but his injuries are not suspected to be life-threatening.
‘Our thoughts are with Pape and his family at this time’.
A Met Police statement said: ‘Police are appealing for witnesses after a road traffic collision on the eastbound carriageway of the M4 motorway.
“Officers were called shortly before 12:10pm on Sunday”.
The other driver is not believed to be seriously injured and according to reports did not require hospital treatment.

He was not selected for the Palace squad for the 2-1 win at Middlesbrough on Saturday.
