The soon-to-be-released movie “Fantastic Four”, shows video where the heroes and the villain came from.

Fantastic Four is released in UK cinemas on Thursday 6th August. I think there was something about Josh’s identity that made him a good target. When the Deadpool comic series relaunched in September 2008, the Merc With A Mouth was everywhere… literally.

The effect of breaking the fourth wall works here as a cheeky nod to the character’s authorial stylings, even though Ryan Reynold’s voice is clearly dubbed in. Add in the subsequent Deadpool MAX series and it was Deadpool overload… and that’s just with titles that bore his name. The latest sneak peek of the film features an unexpected guest star crashing the party right at the very end.

Why? Because homeboy is popular. Which is AWESOME! I can’t take my kid to see this flick, but I will be like a kid in a fucked-up candy store when it drops.

“Crossing them over would be challenging”, said Kinberg and Parker, “but we sure would love to see all those actors together, the way we had them on stage at (San Diego) Comic Con”.

Despite reports that Fox is plotting to combine its two superhero franchises – “X-Men” and “Fantastic Four“, both of which are licensed from Marvel – into a larger shared cinematic universe, producers have crossed out any crossover potential in the near future.

So given 20th Century Fox stoking the Fantastic Four trailer with Deadpool and Teller downplaying the potential critical success of the film, the question then becomes ‘how will the film actually do?’ According to Deadline, Fantastic Four is expected to earn $40-$50 million on its opening weekend.
