CSKA 3-2 PSV Eindhoven: Poor first half costs Eredivisie champions
The result, coupled with Manchester United triumphing 2-1 at home to Wolfsburg, means all four teams in Group B now have three points to their name.

Super Eagles’ forward, Ahmed Musa, was on target as CSKA Moscow defeated their PSV Eindhoven counterparts in a five-goal thriller in a UEFA Champions League tie.
Maxime Lestienne gave the Eredivisie champions a lifeline on the hour, prodding in from close range after good work down the right by Adam Maher.
They fell behind in the eighth minute when Zoran Tosic’s inswinging corner from the right was allowed to drop to the feet of Musa, who turned the ball into the net after reacting faster than any of the PSV players around him.
Doumbia nearly had another moments later but he did put his name on the scoresheet again when PSV goalkeeper Jeroen Zoet felled Tosic and the Ivorian tucked away the penalty for his fifth goal in three games.
Doumbia could have had a hat-trick before half time, but after being fouled in the box by Santiago Arias he blasted his second penalty of the evening over the bar.
The miss looked like it could prove costly as Phillip Cocu’s team finally came to life after the interval.
Zoet was called back into action just minutes into the second half when he made a one-handed stop from Tosic’s strike, and his side should have pulled a goal back just minutes later. We should have gone into the half-time break 4-0 up, but in the end we had to defend PSV’s attacks to keep our 3-2 lead.
He said: “Everything went wrong in the first half, the second half we showed our true face”.

“Of course I’m happy with the result but there’s also a certain displeasure because of our poor performance in the second period”.
