Cubs’ Epstein tries a Bobby Valentine disguise to sit in Wrigley bleachers
The team is now sitting cozily atop the National League Central with a cushy 17-game lead. For a team who hasn’t had the best of luck in the postseason in, say, the past century or so, their recent success can be attributed to Theo Epstein.

“The baseball operations staff made a deal that if we won the division we would watch the next game from out in the bleachers”. ESPN’s Darren Rovell reports that Epstein doesn’t seem to mind having his cover blown, as he was later spotted still wearing the mustache and a shirt with an inspirational quote from manager Joe Maddon on it.
But dude: if you can give Jason Heyward $184 million, you can spend more than 50 cents on your fake mustache.
This wouldn’t be the first time Epstein has worn a disguise, either.
Other photos from the bleachers show Cubs G.M. Jed Hoyer sitting behind the mystery fan, lending credence to the theory that it is indeed Epstein in disguise.

And the Cubs did win their game on Friday against the Brewers 5-4 thanks to a walk off homer. Or maybe he just felt like wearing a costume and seeing if anyone would notice.
