“We have a strong, young core of players who are going to play for us for the next years and are going to bring a lot of emotions and a lot of accomplishments to the city of Houston”, said Correa, the first Puerto Rican taken No. 1 overall in the draft. “Moving on from this season, I think the future’s so bright for this team”. “It really means a lot not only for them, but me as well”. Bryant’s 99 RBIs were the most by an NL rookie since Ryan Zimmerman of the Washington Nationals had 110 in 2006. He also won the NL’s Rookie of the Month twice and made it to the 2015 All-Star Game. 385 on-base percentage and. He led the entire AL in second-half batting average, was third in hits, 11th in on-base percentage (.386), T-15th in runs scored and 10th in OPS (.930).
The 23-year-old Bryant batted.
Bryant played three seasons at United States dollars, winning the Golden Spikes Award as the best collegiate player two years ago.
Of Bryant’s 26 home runs, two were grand slams, and he became the first player to hit a home run off the left field video board when he hit a game-tying home run against the Nationals on May 26.
Bryant credited a few of his comfort to the gradual addition of fellow rookies Addison Russell and Kyle Schwarber, along with Jorge Soler (23) and Javier Baez (22).
