Cucumbers linked to salmonella outbreak, CDC says
CT and New Hampshire are new to the list of states reporting cases linked to this outbreak.

Cucumbers linked to the salmonella outbreak first reported in September that killed four people are still making people sick, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Overall, more than 800 people have fallen ill.
The CDC says this is 71 more people than the last report, which was issued a little more than a month ago, and the outbreak has been found in 38 states.
The CDC issued a recall in September for “Limited Edition” label cucumbers distributed by Andrew & Williamson Fresh Produce and Fat Boy label cucumbers.
The death toll remains at four: Arizona (1), California (1), Oklahoma (1), and Texas (1).
The affected cucumbers have dark green skin, are 7 to 10 inches long and are sold in bulk, without any wrapper. The CDC said it is unlikely that recalled cucumbers are still in homes or available in restaurants or grocery stores. If you are unsure about the cucumbers you purchase throw them out.

Salmonella can cause diarrhea, fever and abdominal cramps 12 to 72 hours after infection. Most people recover in four to seven days.
