Cumberland County delegates to Republican National Convention

Donald Trump’s campaign still lacks a sufficient number of supportive delegates to guarantee that any revolt at the Republican National Convention could be put down, a key committee delegate says.

Moody said that some members of the “free the delegates” group are afraid to come out against Trump before the convention since they fear retaliation from Trump supporters and an all-out civil war within the GOP.

The Wall Street Journal has taken this possibility seriously. That leaves 903 potential swing votes. He doesn’t need to get these guys that are from the Republican establishment near his ticket.

Though a majority of the convention delegates are bound to support Trump, one count shows just about 890 delegates are personally loyal to the New Yorker. Doing so would allow delegates to vote their “conscience”, many in the movement say. “The time is upon us once again to showcase Cleveland and what we, as a community, are all about”. His priority is a “smooth convention”, Evans added.

Art Wittich, who is a Montana state legislator and a member of the rule’s committee, is among those with that concern.

Civic leaders have said Cleveland is experiencing a renaissance following decades of decline, and that reputation will be on the line during the convention. “Maybe it’s not that they are not organized”.

Klein, the Pennsylvania delegate, says if he is in a threatening situation the police can’t control, he’ll do what he has to. Trump has promised to liven up the 2016 Republican National Convention.

“Having grown up here it’s rewarding to work on a cause that’s bigger than myself”, she said.
