Cuomo, de Blasio: Hypocrites on Cruz’s ‘New York values’
The 2 candidates clashed Thursday on both the issue of Senator Cruz’ Canadian birthplace and on statements Senator Cruz had made against Mr. Trump’s “New York values”, and Friday, Donald Trump said that Ted Cruz is a “good debater, but very strident”.

Rival GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump has spotlighted the issue in interviews and on the campaign trail.
Todd: let’s start with last night and let’s go, when you hear the phrase NY values, I understand what Donald Trump said.
Trump gleefully followed up with a second attack alluding to new accusations that Cruz failed to disclose almost $1 million in loans during his Senate campaign.
A fourth reason why Cruz is ineligible to be president – and this is the most important point – Cruz is a “natural born citizen” of Canada.
“People are waking up, and just like millions of New Yorkers, they are fed up with policies that don’t fight for the working men and women of this country, but instead further the elite liberal views that have taken this country down a path that is not working”, Cruz said.
“Sen. Ted Cruz should apologize to the people of NY for his remarks and to the people of the United States for his crass attempt to divide us”.
Maybe it’s Andrew Cuomo and Bill de Blasio who should be apologizing. In October, Levin said on his radio show that Cruz is the “most consistently conservative candidate running”.
“So, I don’t see how that momentum gets stopped right now, I don’t know who breaks it. Come on, you had eight months”. “I am already hearing more and more people getting fed up with the low road you’re taking against Cruz, which has obviously intensified this morning”. Cruz says the attacks Trump has launched concerning his status as a “natural born citizen” have come about only becasue Trump has lost some of his lead in the recent polls.
Cuomo said Cruz should apologize to New Yorkers. He also dismissed South Carolina Sen. He’s got bank loans from Goldman Sachs.

Although Cruz acquired American citizenship at birth through his mother, some have argued that as he was born overseas and to a Cuban father, he does not meet the constitutional requirement of being “a natural-born citizen” and is therefore ineligible to serve in the White House. What Ted Cruz meant as an insult to his opponent has backfired on him, as the whole city is up in arms about the negative connotation Ted Cruz has lent to the term “New York values”.
