An explosion rocked the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan in NY last night, injuring at least 29 people, authorities said, adding that they are investigating the blast as a criminal act not immediately linked to any terror organisation. We will not allow these type of people and these type of threats to disurpt our life in NY’.
No injuries were reported at the New Jersey incident.
Just blocks away from the explosion, a suspicious device was found at 27th Street, according to multiple local and federal law enforcement officials.
The police do not have a specific suspect yet, and are not speculating publicly about any possible motive for setting the device. The homemade bomb reportedly exploded in a toolbox. But for the moment, he said, none of them were life-threatening.
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo held a press conference this morning on the explosion in Chelsea last night and the 29 injured victims.
“It was red, orange in the middle”.
‘Just before I got off the plane, a bomb went off in NY and nobody knows exactly what’s going on, ‘ Trump said at a campaign less than two hours after the explosion took place. “The whole block shook”.

On Tuesday President Obama and other world leaders are due to attend the UN General Assembly in NY.
“About the bombings in NY and New Jersey and the attacks in Minnesota”, she said, “we need to do everything we can to support our first responders – also to pray for the victims”. Officials said the NYPD has video it is reviewing and De Blasio urged any witnesses or people who may have information to come forward. The suspect in that incident was killed by police.
